The G-Cloud Opportunity
The G-Cloud Framework has been put in place to help government organisations obtain best value from their IT spend and to enable - for the first time - G-Cloud entrant SMEs to offer their vast range of innovative services to public sector buyers.
The straightforward and simple buying process, along with excellent guidance from Crown Commercial Service (CCS), has enabled two billion pounds worth of spend to go through the framework in the last seven years alone. However, this spend is below target levels*.
G-Cloud 11, the latest iteration of the framework, went live in May this year and is made up of 4,000 suppliers, all of whom have demonstrated a commitment to working with government organisations in order to showcase the benefits and cost effectiveness of their software and systems, and also ease the procurement process.
The G-Cloud Summit 2020, brought to you by Public Sector Information on Wednesday 29th January at Hilton Canary Wharf, London, aims to further explore the opportunities for public sector technology buyers. The plenary session featuring speakers from Crown Commercial Service will be followed by Meet the Buyer sessions; a choice of face-to-face supplier breakout seminars offering the latest case studies from across the public sector. These supplier meetings will also provide in-depth information about new software and technology, which is available now to make G-Cloud 11 work for you and your organisations.
